Fourth call for proposals open

Fourth call for proposals open

The SOLARIS synchrotron call for proposals is open now. For the moment, three end-stations are available at the SOLARIS synchrotron: PEEM (photoelectron microscopy), XAS (X-ray absorption spectroscopy) and UARPES (angle-resolved photoelectron spectroscopy). Scientists can carry out research in the fields of physics, materials science, chemistry and new electronic materials. For the first time, we also open access to the Cryo-EM.

Access to both, the synchrotron and Cryo-EM is free of charge for scientist. User groups from outside Poland may apply for a reimbursement of travel costs (thanks to CALIPSOPlus project).

The beamtime applications are submitted through the user portal Digital User Office (DUO) https://duo.synchrotron.pl The beamtime will be granted to scientists on a competition basis from February 2020 to July 2020.

The proposals will be evaluated by the international commission. We strongly recommend discussing the feasibility of planned experiments with the responsible beamline scientist prior to the submission of a proposal, in particular, if you are a new user. The closest deadline for submitting applications is October 1, 2019.

More information about applying for beamtime is here and about Cryo-EM here.
