Between October 17th and 21st, the first science management summer school, organized by the Sylinda project, has taken place on the premises of ALBA synchrotron. The school has focused on science management, industry cooperation and communication. In addition to the lectures, dedicated workshops have been by the leading experts from academia and the industry. Participants have also gotten hands-on experience in conducting industrial practices using synchrotron radiation at ALBA synchrotron.

This year in October the ALBA synchrotron became a place for a meeting for innovation specialiast, scientists and enterprenurs to discuss ways for sciantists and scientific intitutes to collaborate with industry. During SYLINDA School we hosted prominent spekaers such as – Dr. Caterina Biscari – Director of ALBA Synchrotron, Dr Elizabeth Shotton – head of the Industiral Liaison Group at the Diamond Light Source, Dr Edward Mitchell – Head of Business Development at ESRF or Prof. Joseph Hormes – Professor at the University of Bonn.
