Visiting SOLARIS

Please note that due to the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus threat, we do not organise any new visits to the SOLARIS Centre until further notice.

Thank you for your interest in visiting the SOLARIS Centre. Please note that visits to the SOLARIS Centre are possible only after prior appointment. In order to arrange a visit, please contact Alicja Górkiewicz,, phone: +48 12 664 41 99, +48 571 445 045.

Visits to the SOLARIS Centre are possible only for organized groups. Individual visitors are cordially invited to take part in the Małopolska Scientists' Night, Małopolska Innovation Fest, or similar events. Visits are possible from Monday to Friday from 9.00 to 14.00. The maximum number of visitors is 30. Usually, the tour starts with a short movie about the first synchrotron in Poland. Then the guests are invited for a guided walk around the experimental hall. The average duration of the trip is 1 to 1.5 hour. Your guide is always a SOLARIS staff member. The SOLARIS Centre has the right to cancel the trip or to change its date if the synchrotron operation so requires.

Visits are free.

Prior to the visit, it is necessary for the trip organiser to read the Rules for Visitors and provide the SOLARIS Centre with a list of names of visitors (on the day of the visit at the latest).
