6th call for proposals – after evaluation

6th call for proposals – after evaluation

The International Review Panel has finished the evaluation of the applications submitted in the 6th call for proposals. In this call, SOLARIS Centre received 34 projects on three beamlines: PEEM/XAS, UARPES, PHELIX.

All applications were assessed in technical, sample safety, and substantive evaluation.

Finally, the beamtime has been allocated for 30 groups. All proposals submitted on our beamlines through Ceric-Eric will be performed. The scheduled beamtime that will be available for users is filled to the maximum. Scientists who did not receive the beamtime in this call are invited to submit applications in the next, that is going to be open on March 1, 2021 – says Alicja Górkiewicz, manager of the SOLARIS Centre Users Office. Accepted experiments will be carried out from March 2021.

Proposals submitted on the Cryo-EM microscope are still waiting for evaluation. The international experts will gather in January.

We remind that all the time, scientists can apply for rapid access. It is recommended if they need to perform their experiment immediately because of the scientific value of potential test results, or supplement previous experiment results to complete the research project or check the feasibility of the project through test measurements.
