Recruitment for the second edition of DESY Ukraine School has started

Recruitment for the second edition of DESY Ukraine School has started

Following the 2023 DESY Ukraine Winter School, the 2024 DESY Ukraine School will run in parallel with the Summer Student program, and offer students enrolled at a Ukrainian university the opportunity to come to DESY and obtain first-hand research experience at a large international laboratory. The 2024 Ukraine School will take place in parallel to and in cooperation with the 2024 DESY Summer Student Program.

The various activities undertaken at DESY for which projects may be offered can be found on the Activies section of the website. We anticipate that projects in most of these areas will be available to participants in the Ukraine School.

Participants in the 2024 Ukraine School will receive:

a guest allowance;
accommodation at DESY (Hostel);
at least partial reimbursement of travel costs.

For the general application criteria please refer to the Conditions. To apply, please use the online Application Form.

Recruitment is open until January 31, 2024.

The organizers are aware the travel restrictions affecting male students. They will endeavor to provide an online program for male students accepted to the Ukraine School who are unable to travel in person to DESY. This will be on a best-effort basis as not all projects will be possible in an online form.

Further information can be found on the dedicated page for the school.

More information regarding DESY's stance on the war in Ukraine can be found here.
