The requirements for the samples, especially with regard to vacuum-compatibility and electrical conductivity, vary depending on the chosen experimental station. Basic information can be found in the Available services section. We encourage you to contact the Industry Liaison Office in order to get assistance with choosing the right method and experimental station for the intended experiments.

We understand the need to sign a non-disclosure agreement. Please, contact us in advance to arrange the necessary formalities.

The price of measurements varies depending on the chosen characterization technique and access mode. Every request will be assessed, free of charge, by the Industry Liaison Office employees, who will provide the estimate of the time required to conduct the necessary experiments. In case of the basic access mode, final price will be directly proportional to the time spent on the infrastructure, while in case of the comprehensive access mode, the cost of additional services and advanced data analysis will be included in the formal quotation.

We understand that you don’t have to be an expert in every available characterization technique and we provide full support for our industrial users. Regardless of the chosen access mode, you will receive a set of personalized recommendations regarding the choice of the research technique best suited for your needs and the support of a dedicated operator during the measurements. In the comprehensive access mode, collected data will also be analyzed by our scientists, compared to the literature data, and used to create final conclusions and recommendations. Comprehensive access mode allows you to fully outsource the whole process to our industrial scientists and to gain additional insights regarding patent landscape and the overview of available literature.

Yes, our offer includes workshops or training sessions for your R&D personnel. During the training session they will be introduced to the theoretical background of the synchrotron-based research techniques, as well as practical information necessary for working at the synchrotron radiation facility. They will undergo radiation safety training, learn how to prepare samples for the chosen experimental stations, how to conduct experiments and analyze data. The programme of the training session can be adjusted to your specific needs and requirements.

Yes, on some experimental stations there is a possibility of the remote control of the experiments, with the support of the dedicated operator. Read more in the Access modes section.

We are happy to assist you with the organization of your stay in Kraków, during the measurements at the SOLARIS Centre, as well as with samples’ transport. There is a private parking next to the Centre, available for our industrial users free of charge, and in the immediate neighborhood there are several accommodation options. Please, contact us if you would like our employees to assist you in planning your stay.
