Bright, brighter, more brighter!

On 9 June 2016, one year after the first start up of the SOLARIS synchrotron, in the storage ring more than 400 mA of beam current was ramped to the final energy of 1.5 GeV.

The maximum ramped current was 408 mA and the lifetime at this current is presently ca.100 min, whereas the average pressure in the storage ring - 5*10-8 mbar.

The lifetime depends strongly on the vacuum parameters, therefore the conditioning of the vacuum systems and beam parameters optimization is ongoing.
