Light for Ukraine – conference focused on research infrastructure
The SOLARIS Centre hosted second time international meeting with the Ukrainian scientific community, entitled "Light for Ukraine." The conference set directions for European-Ukrainian activities aimed at to support initiatives using synchrotron radiation.
The second edition of the "Light for Ukraine" workshop, has just ended. Nearly 130 scientists representing the European and Ukrainian scientific communities participated in the workshop.
The workshop focused on the planned Ukrainian synchrotron beamline concept: “Nano and micro X-ray spectroscopy beamline” at SOLARIS within the LEAPS initiative. During the workshop, we had an opportunity to hear about the latest developments and scientific cases at three micro- and nano X-ray spectroscopy beamlines (MicroXAS, ID21 and LUCIA).
In addition, during the workshop the Ukrainian scientists (Ukrainian scientific community) presented research possibilities at the future beamline in the fields of catalysis, biology, energy materials and physics.
