Natalia Olszowska and Magdalena Szczepanik organized the mini - symposium within the framework of ECOSS 36.

The 36th European Conference on Surface Science (ECOSS 36) took place in Lodz, Poland, from August 28 to September 1, organized by the Faculty of Physics and Applied Informatics of University of Lodz. The event was attended by two researchers from the SOLARIS Centre - Natalia Olszowska and Magdalena Szczepanik.
Nearly 70 spectroscopists from around the world have visited the SOLARIS Centre.

The 12th edition of the International Conference on Advanced Vibrational Spectroscopy (ICAVS12) is taking place in Krakow, Poland, from August 27 to September 1. The meeting is devoted entirely to discussing advances in all areas of vibrational spectroscopy and provides an excellent opportunity to discuss and exchange experiences in the field.

Dr. Eng. Karolina Kosowska, CIRI beamline scientist is a laureate of the Sonatina 7 competition organized by the National Science Centre. The scientist will carry out a research project entitled "Investigation of the influence of modifiers on the crystallization process of thermoplastic polymers: polarized IR microscopy below the diffraction limit".The value of co-financing amounted to: PLN 896,583.
