Expansion of SOLARIS experimental hall

The SOLARIS Centre has been awarded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education a grant for the expansion of the experimental hall. This long-awaited decision opens up new perspectives for the development of the Centre.
PHELIX beamline - delivery of analyzer and spin detector

On July 22, 2020, the last components of the PHELIX end station were delivered to SOLARIS. The delivery included a high-resolution hemispherical photoelectron energy analyzer and a VLEED spin detector.
SOLARIS user meeting registration now open

On 1 July 2020 registration for „Joint Meeting of Polish Synchrotron Radiation Society and SOLARIS Users” was opened. It will be the first SOLARIS Centre user meeting in history.
First research grants for SOLARIS

For the first time in its history the SOLARIS Centre has received funding from the National Science Centre, the largest grant-making agency in Poland for fundamental research and basic science.
Doctoral School at SOLARIS

On 29 June admissions to the Doctoral School of Exact and Natural Sciences of the Jagiellonian University will be open. The Małopolska Center of Biotechnology (MCB), the Jagiellonian Center for Experimental Therapeutic (JCET), as well as the SOLARIS Centre will organise the School Biomedical Science Doctoral Programme.
