In October 2018, scientists from Poland and abroad will gain access to SOLARIS synchrotron research infrastructure. Measurements will be possible on PEEM, XAS, and UARPES experimental end-stations.

In the end of 2017 a photoemission electron microscope had been successfully installed on SOLARIS PEEM/XAS beamline. For the first time in Poland synchrotron radiation was used to image the sample surface with chemical and magnetic resolution.

At the LEAPS launch event in Brussels on 13 November 2017, 16 organisations representing 19 light sources facilities across Europe signed an agreement to strengthen their collaboration. Among the initiators of the agreement and its signatories was prof. dr hab. Marek Stankiewicz, director of the SOLARIS Centre.
