The SOLARIS Centre was the winner of a competition organised by the Work and Career Institute Foundation. The statuette from the hands of Paweł Abucki, President of the Work and Career Institute Foundation, was received by Michał Młynarczyk, Deputy Director of NCPS SOLARIS. The award was given for cooperation within the Erasmus+ project.
The chapter of the Career Inspirer competition has selected the winners of the 2023 edition. The title 'Career Inspirer 2023', in the International Cooperation category, was awarded to the National Centre for Synchrotron Radiation SOLARIS for its participation in a foreign internship programme for secondary school students coming to Poland as part of the ERASMUS+ programme.
- SOLARIS perceives this distinction as confirmation and appreciation of the path we have taken to use our extraordinary potential to popularise science, inspire and instil confidence in young people and lead them to find the courage to take on new, unusual and difficult tasks. This is what the SOLARIS Centre is and this is what it wants to share with the numerous interns and trainees it receives, said Michał Młynarczyk, Deputy Director of NCPS SOLARIS.
The idea of the "Career Inspirator" competition is to promote good educational, local government and business practices in the area of vocational training.
In particular, the competition promotes and supports activities in the field of broadly understood integration of the educational, business and institutional environment and the promotion of the idea of professional improvement and development. The main idea behind the activities of the Institute for Work and Career is to strengthen or create partnerships and consolidate the resources of educational, political and business institutions, which through complementary cooperation and coordination of activities related to the shaping of educational policy and the labour market in the area of a given region will provide a comprehensive and systemic approach to the planning of vocational training.
