Expansion of the SOLARIS facility is on its way

On February 4th, 2021, the President of the City of Kraków issued Building Permit for the strategic project “Reconstruction and Expansion of the Solaris NSRC Centre”.

CERIC-ERIC is calling for proposals for coordinated access to more than 50 instruments and support laboratories. In addition to the possibility to access several instruments through a single application, we offer support to mobility.
Cryo – electron microscope Glacios is already a part of the SOLARIS Centre research infrastructure

We are happy to announce that on 13th January 2021 the representatives of SOLARIS Centre and LABSOFT company officially signed in the handover protocol of Glacios cryo- electron microscope. It will extend the offer of the National Cryo-EM Centre.
Scientist from the SOLARIS team awarded with the prestigious ERC Grant

Dr Sebastian Glatt the member of SOLARIS Team and the researcher from Małopolska Centre of Biotechnology (MCB) of the Jagiellonian University has received the ERC Consolidator Grant worth almost 2 million euro. His research will contribute to the better understanding of molecular mechanisms behind the fundamental processes of high clinical relevance, which shape and control the functioning of cellular protein in all living organisms.
6th call for proposals – after evaluation

The International Review Panel has finished the evaluation of the applications submitted in the 6th call for proposals. In this call, SOLARIS Centre received 34 projects on three beamlines: PEEM/XAS, UARPES, PHELIX.
