We are pleased to announce that the research project entitled "High pressure studies of protein structure on the SOLCRYS beam line at the SOLARIS National Synchrotron Radiation Center" has been qualified for funding within the PRELUDIUM BIS grant competition for research carried out by Ph.D students at doctoral schools! This decision makes it possible to open a position for a Ph.D student at the Doctoral School of Exact and Life Sciences.

We are happy to announce that the Jagiellonian University have opened registration for applicants to the Doctoral School of Exact and Natural Sciences in Biomedical Sciences Programme. The programme is supported by the Jagiellonian Centre for Experimental Therapeutics (JCET), the Malopolska Centre of Biotechnology (MCB) and the SOLARIS National Synchrotron Radiation Centre (SOLARIS). The end of registration is 8.06.2021. The Solaris Centre offers two Ph.D. positions and four research topics.

The HERCULES Specialized Course (HSC) is an extensive training that is being organized since 2006, taking place after the main HERCULES School, and combining both theoretical and practical sessions. The SOLARIS Centre actively participates in the event as one of the infrastructures of the CERIC-ERIC consortium.

New techniques and new users - summary of the seventh open call for beamtime

On April 1, the seventh call for proposals for beamtime at the Solaris synchrotron was completed. As many as 84 research teams from Poland and abroad, representing 31 scientific institutions, joined the competition. 48 proposals concerned the beamlines XAS, UARPES, PHELIX, DEMETER and 36 the electron cryo microscope.
