However, the crucial importance of experimental research should not be overlooked, these were the conclusions of the iNext-Discovery Foresight Meeting, held July 8-10 at the SOLARIS National Synchrotron Radiation Centre.
Nanotechnology and synchrotron research in Greece - four conferences at once

Nanotexnology 2024 is a combination of four parallel scientific conferences (ISFOE24, NN24, I3D24 and ISSON24), an exhibition space (EXPO) and business events (BUSINESS FORUM). A delegation from the SOLARIS Centre attended the event as part of the LEAPS-INNOV project, introducing participants to the synchrotron's research capabilities and project offerings.
Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education Visited the SOLARIS Center

Professor Maria Mrówczyńska, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, visited Krakow, where on July 4th, during a series of meetings, she met with the Rector of the Jagiellonian University and the management of the SOLARIS Center. The visit aimed to discuss key issues related to the development of science and higher education in Poland, as well as to become familiar with the activities of the country's only synchrotron infrastructure.
Project of a new research beamline at SOLARIS as the culmination of cooperation between three countries

As a center integrating three international scientific communities, SOLARIS stands on the brink of inaugurating a project aimed at constructing a unique research beamline. The exceptional nature of this endeavor lies in the combined efforts of Poland, Ukraine, and Switzerland to finance an experimental beamline that will benefit researchers from a war-torn country and consolidate the scientific community in the Central and Eastern European region. This initiative is coordinated under the auspices of the League of European Accelerator-based Photon Sources (LEAPS), which includes all European synchrotron centers.
General Assembly meeting of the CERIC-ERIC consortium at the SOLARIS Centre

The General Assembly meeting of the CERIC-ERIC consortium took place at the SOLARIS National Synchrotron Radiation Centre on June 27-28. CERIC-ERIC (Central European Research Infrastructure Consortium) brings together specialized laboratories and research centers from Central Europe and Italy. These facilities conduct material research using techniques involving photons, electrons, neutrons, or ions.
