In May 2016, the first light from the variably polarizing undulator (APPLE II type) installed on the UARPES beamline has been observed at the sample position, in the experimental chamber.
Poland officially joins CERIC-ERIC as a full member

On March 1, 2016 Poland has formally entered CERIC-ERIC, with the decision of the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education to join the consortium, and with the approval of the General Assembly of CERIC-ERIC. With this decision, the SOLARIS Centre in Kraków has been formally appointed as the Polish Partner Facility in CERIC-ERIC.
The third beamline in the SOLARIS synchrotron

In February 2016, components of the third beamline were delivered to the SOLARIS synchrotron. The beamline previously operated at the MaxLab research centre in Lund (Sweden). It was dismantled and transported to Kraków by SOLARIS team members and representatives of several other Polish research centres.
