Rektor Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego ogłasza konkurs na stanowisko adiunkta w grupie pracowników badawczo-dydaktycznych w Instytucie Fizyki na Wydziale Fizyki, Astronomii i Informatyki Stosownej w dyscyplinie fizyka w zakresie prac doświadczalnych z zastosowaniem promieniowania synchrotronowego bezpośrednio powiązanych z co najmniej jednym z następujących obszarów badań: (i) materiały nanostrukturalne, (ii) materiały związane z wytwarzaniem i gromadzeniem energii, (iii) materiały na potrzeby biotechnologii i medycyny.

On the 23rd June 2021 one of our User Andrzej Swinarew, PhD, DSc, Associate Professor from the Faculty of Science and Technology in Katowice has received the honorary badge “For Merits for Inventiveness.” This prestigious award is granted by the Prime Minister of Poland, Mateusz Morawiecki.

On the 15th June 2021, the gala of the City of Krakow Awards took place. One of the winners in the field of „science and technology” was the group of six researches - Structural Biology Core Facility from Małopolska Centre of Biotechnology JU: Dr. hab. Sebastian Glatt – leader, Michał Rawski,PhD, Kinga Wróbel, MSc and Przemysław Grudnik, PhD, Piotr Wilk, PhD, Klaudia Woś, MSc. The first three mentioned scientists are also a part of the team of the National Cyo-Em Centre operating at the National Synchrotron Radiation Center SOLARIS.

Two scientists of NCPS Solaris win the START 2021 competition!

The Foundation for Polish Science has announced the results of the START 2021 competition. Prestigious scholarships will be awarded to 100 outstanding young scientists, including two employees of the SOLARIS research team. The aim of the program is to support outstanding young scientists and encourage them to further scientific development.

In mid-May, the International Evaluation Commission completed its work on the evaluation of proposals for beamtime in the seventh call. A total of 84 applications were assessed in the competition, submitted for four beamlines and a cryo-microscope. The applications were analyzed by external experts in terms of formalities, sample safety and the merits of the planned research work.
