Measurement software

Measurements at the beamline are controlled by specially for this purpose, custom made software AstraLibra with extensive functionality and user friendly interface. This software was created by NCPS SOLARIS employee MSc. Marcel Piszak.

Sample preparation

The beamline team develops and will upload soon instructions for users how to prepare samples, taking into account their different states (powders, thin films, bulks materials, solutions and liquids) and concentration of the element of interest.

Available Standards

The beamline team is in the process of preparing a library of reference materials, which will be available for users on ASTRA beamline. 
At the present moment, a set of calibration foils has been purchased:

• 3d metal foils (Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Se),
• 4d metal foils (Zr, Nb, Mo, Ru, Pd, Ag, Sn, Sb),
• 5d metal foils (Ta, Pt, Au, Pb).
