The Spring call for proposals is already open.

The Spring call for proposals is already open.

On 1 March, the thirteenth call for proposals for beamtime at the SOLARIS Centre was opened. Researchers can apply for the opportunity to conduct their research on one of the available beamlines, such as: ASTRA, CIRI, DEMETER (PEEM, STXM), PHELIX, PIRX, POLYX, URANOS and cryo-electron microscope Titan Krios G3i. The deadline for submitting proposals will be the 3rd. of April 2024 at 23:59 CET. Experiments from the spring call for proposals will be conducted from September 2024 to February 2025.

Scientists can apply for beamtime on:
ASTRA (tender and hard X-ray absorption spectroscopy),
CIRI (micro- and nanometric chemical imaging) – only Expert Commissioning Access,
DEMETER: PEEM (a photoemission electron microscope), STXM (scanning transmission X-ray microscope),
PHELIX (X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy),
PIRX (soft X-ray absorption spectroscopy),
POLYX (X-ray microimaging and X-ray microspectroscopy),
URANOS (ultra angle resolved photoemission spectroscopy),
Titan Krios G3i cryo-electron microscope.

CIRI beamline operates in Expert Commissioning mode – all details can be found here: https://synchrotron.uj.edu.pl/en_GB/uzytkownicy/nabory-wnioskow

Beamtime applications are submitted through the user portal SOLARIS User Network (SUN). We strongly recommend discussing the feasibility of planned experiments with the responsible infrastructure scientist prior to the submission of a proposal, in particular, if you are a new user.

More information about our research infrastructure and performing experiments in SOLARIS can be found on our website.

Scientists are also welcome to submit their application to SOLARIS through the CERIC - ERIC call for proposals, using the Virtual Unified Office (VUO). All details can be found here: https://www.ceric-eric.eu/users/call-for-proposals/

Should you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact our User Office.
