The SOLARIS Centre and the Malopolska Centre of Biotechnology (Jagiellonian University) won a two-stage competition for the purchase of an electron microscopy for industrial research. Funding was awarded by the National Information Processing Institute (OPI PIB) as part of the EU's Smart Growth Operational Programme.

The innovative technique of cryo-electron microscopy has just come to the Solaris Center. The parts for the construction of a highest-class electron microscope have been delivered just before Christmas.

Between 4 and 6 June 2019 SOLARIS team participated in the Forum of Cities and Regions in the Exhibition and Congress Center in Jasionka near Rzeszów. The event was organised by the Ministry of Investment and Development. We encouraged cooperation with SOLARIS and investing in new beamlines.

On 1 October 2019, the fourth SOLARIS synchrotron call for proposals was closed.
