Crédit Agricole delegation at the SOLARIS Center

On April 22, an exceptional event took place at the Centrum Solaris as part of a Learning Expedition — a visit by 39 regional directors from Crédit Agricole representing the Charente-Maritime region in France.The delegation represented southwestern France, serving medium and large enterprises operating in key sectors such as aerospace, agriculture, automotive, industry, technology, and FMCG. For many participants, this was their first visit to Poland, which gave the meeting a particularly special dimension. During their time at the Centrum Solaris, guests attended a presentation on the center’s capabilities and took part in a guided tour of its infrastructure.
Prof. Marek Stankiewicz awarded the Plus Ratio Quam Vis Gold Medal

On 8 April 2026, a ceremony was held in the Aula of Collegium Novum of the Jagiellonian University, during which Prof. Marek Stankiewicz was awarded the Plus Ratio Quam Vis Gold Medal – the highest distinction of the Jagiellonian University, granted for outstanding contributions to the development of science and academic life.
Results of the 17th Call for Proposals for beamtime at NCPS SOLARIS

The seventeenth call for proposals for beamtime at the National Synchrotron Radiation Centre SOLARIS has concluded. A total of 280 proposals were submitted, 248 of which were submitted directly under the SUN programme, with a further 32 submitted via the CERIC ERIC platform. Data from this year’s call indicate a clear upward trend in the number of submissions, consistently observed across successive editions.
Advanced cultural heritage research using synchrotron radiation

A group of researchers from the Laboratory for Analysis and Non-Destructive Investigation of Heritage Objects (LANBOZ) at the National Museum in Kraków conducted advanced spectroscopic studies focused on the analysis of cultural heritage objects. The use of instrumentation available at the SOLARIS Centre enabled highly precise measurements of samples collected from historic artefacts.
