On 22–23 October 2025, the RTI Summit 2025 took place in Copenhagen under the Danish Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The event brought together more than 300 participants — representatives of the European Commission, national research funding agencies, scientific and industrial institutions, and policymakers responsible for shaping the future of Europe’s research and technology infrastructure. At the centre of the discussions was a shared vision for the future of the European RTI ecosystem and its role in building a resilient, innovative, and sustainable Europe.

Visit of ELI Beamlines Scientists to the SOLARIS Centre

Last week, the SOLARIS Centre hosted a group of scientists from ELI Beamlines, located in Dolní Břežany near Prague. ELI (Extreme Light Infrastructure) is an international research facility focused on the application of high-power lasers in both fundamental and applied sciences.

New Helium Liquefier System – a Major Step in the Development of SOLARIS Infrastructure

Last week, our specialists – Dr. Alexey Maximenko and MSc. Eng. Paweł Gębala – visited the factory of Vorbuchner GmbH in Germany to carry out the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) of our new helium liquefier system. The tests confirmed that the device meets all technical, safety, and operational requirements and is now ready for shipment to Kraków.

Sixteenth call for applications for research time at SOLARIS completed

The sixteenth call for research proposals at the National Synchrotron Radiation Centre SOLARIS has concluded. A total of 214 proposals were submitted, including 21 through the CERIC-ERIC platform. This outcome confirms the consistently high level of interest in the SOLARIS infrastructure among users from both Poland and abroad.
