Professor David MacMillan - Nobel Laureate has accepted an invitation to the SOLARIS Centre

We are delighted to announce that Professor David MacMillan from Princeton University, the 2021 Nobel Laureate in Chemistry, has accepted an invitation to visit the SOLARIS National Synchrotron Radiation Centre. Professor MacMillan’s planned visit is a great honor for us and results from a collaboration established several months ago.

CERIC offers access through a single entry point to more than 60 different and complementary state of the art techniques and support laboratories, distributed in 11 countries, with the submission of single or multi-technique proposals and provides support for researchers' mobility. 22nd call for proposals is open until March 3rd 2025.

It is our pleasure toinvite you to participate in the LEAPS Meets Advanced Materials for Energy Conference 2025, which will take place in Sopot from May 18 to 23, 2025. The event organised by the National Synchrotron Radiation Centre SOLARIS on behalf of LEAPS (League of European Accelerator-based Photon Sources), will gather representatives from 16 European synchrotron infrastructures and industry representatives to jointly discuss the future of energy in Poland and Europe.

Skill Academy - an adventure for young people in the world of modern science.

Skill Academy is a unique educational project implemented by the SOLARIS National Centre for Synchrotron Radiation. Targeted at young people aged 12-19, the project combines science with practice, using the advanced research infrastructure of the synchrotron - the only such facility in Poland. Our aim is to popularise science, develop a passion for scientific research and inspire young minds to build careers in highly specialised fields.

Session Research at SOLARIS in the program of the ISSRNS 2025 conference

For the sixteenth time, the International School and Symposium on Synchrotron Radiation in Natural Science (ISSRNS) will be held from May 25 to 30, 2025, organized by the Polish Society for Synchrotron Radiation. This year, the National SOLARIS Center will present the research potential of its infrastructure during one of the sessions and inspire young scientists to establish collaborations.
